Allow horizontal rep detection

Hello,
Is there a way to allow for horizontal reps to be detected?
For some exercices I can’t access the loading pin, only the handles for instance, and they only move in a horizontal pattern.

Another example is I’d love to gather some data from my rowerg, but can’t as there is no vertical movement
